Momo

Woman has a tendency to call me every name in existence other than my real name (well, she also doesn't call me cuss words ... very often). Lately, she has taken a strong liking to the name Momo, taken from Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Do I look like this Momo thing?

He does look all sad and Pug-like in this photo, and he really likes to eat, but I think that's where the similarities end. Well, ok, he follows his Ang person everywhere, just like I follow Woman everywhere, but does that mean I have to inherit his name? I think I existed before him! Woman should call him Mr. Norman instead of calling me Momo!

She also calls me schmoopy, taken from an episode of Seinfeld, and sometimes just "The Schmoop." Weird, yes?

I'd like to hear some other strange Pug nicknames and learn their origins. I know you Pug maniacs out there have some crazy names for your Momo Bear Dogs (that's another one of Woman's)!!

Awww the momo is cute! :)
Indy is poopers, I am not really sure how she got this name, it somehow involves my mom's dog pepsi being called peppers. I think it is from puppers.. who knows? I do know that she answers to poopers alot more then Indy!
Indy also gets: princess, little miss, miss mouse, indiana (my husband hates that one) and pooperella.

I hate to say it, sometimes we call Gus stooopid.. in high pitch sing-song voice but he bites me when i do so he knows whats going. I am an awful pug mommy. He gets gusgus, gusaroopoo, gusaroo, demon child, and poo head. lol

Does your woman know that in the foothills of the Himalayas they eat a dumpling called momos(kind of like a wonton or chinese dumpling)...so maybe she means you are her little dumpling? My woman, unfortunately for me, officially named me Stinky Pete...so I don't really need a nickname, however, if I am being REALLY good she calls me Petey McSweetie...

The most frequently used around here are "bigs" and "smalls." Oscar thinks he is big and bad when other dogs are around, and Daisy is smaller than Oscar. But they have many other nicknames....I just can't think of them right now.

    Winston:
    Winstonavitch Chamowski
    Mr. Chamowski
    Buddy
    Little English Gentleman

I really have absolutely no idea how any of those came about!

    Zelda:
    Zelda Bee
    Little Bee
    Zelda Beezawitz
    Crotch Monster

The stuff with Bee in it is because Zelda looked SOOO cute when I put her in a bee costume I couldn't get the cute image out of my head, so I pretty much add "bee" to anything nice or cute now.

The crotch monster name comes from Zelda liking to sleep between legs.

    :0)

And it goes on - is it that bad for you, Norman?

I call Giggs 'babaloo' or 'babaloo-bear' a lot and I think I got it from singing Wop-baba-loo-bop to him all the time.
After reading The Kite Runner, I learned that Babalu is a boogeyman-type spirit. Giggs is indeed my little boogeyman so I thought it was funny.
