St. Patrick's Day

Do you all know that St. Patrick's day has been moved by the Romach Catholic Church to this Saturday, the 15th? The Roman Catholic church changed it this year from the 17th, because Easter is really early this year, and the 17th is Holy Monday. Isn't that wild? Not everyone is honoring the move though, so I say it's OK to celebrate on both days! Green beer all around! Easter and St. Patrick's day last caused this sort of conflict in 1940. We're all a part of history here this week! LOL! This is going to be a question on Jeopardy one day.

Well, I guess the Catholic Church can do whatever they want. They are the Church, after all.

It will be interesting to see what Chicago and Savannah and NYC do about that.

That's really weird, that's kind of like saying, "ummm, Jesus's birthday is going to be on the 26th, okay?

They're always changing stuff on ya. It used to be that you couldn't eat meat on Fridays and all you could have were Filet O'Fish Sandwiches, and now it's all "Hey, about that fish thing, yeah, forget about that."

St Patricks is still on the 17th here, but our Easter is later than yours..Easter Monday is the 24th..

Living so close to Ireland though.. I think we would get mobbed and mutilated if we dared to mess with it!! hehehe

Hope you have a very Happy St Patricks.. I would go with celebrating both days.. there can never be too many parties :)
