New Couch

I mentioned back in December that the People were remodeling and had purchased a new couch. Since the couch had to be "ordered" it took a really long time to get here. Not as long as it has taken me to blog about it though! The couch arrived in March, but we've been breaking it in for you.

Here is the new couch! With new art too!

It's leather, which is supposed to be good because it's easier to clean, but I've already got something on it that Woman can't get off. If anyone knows how to clean leather without taking off the finish or fading the color, please do tell.

I'm not a great fan of the new couch, because it's smaller than our old couch, and Woman and I have difficulty getting our snuggle on. So, I mostly sit on this floor cushion. Mostly.

I obviously DO get on the new couch since I have apparently stained it already. I get blamed for EVERYTHING in this house!

It is a very pretty couch. Did you order it from a picture online or did it have to be ordered because of the color you wanted?
I also like the colorful floor cushion :)

ohhhh, fancy! I like it with the artwork in the background...blends nicely. I don't recommend taking my advice, but we use Windex on our leather whenever a pug does something naughty to it (Winnie's wenie spots, primarily). But, our leather couch has a worn "look" to it and it's more wrinkly...so I wouldn't really know if it fades the color or not. I've never noticed that it has, though.

    Hahaha Page!!

That is a beautiful couch and I love the new artwork. I am not sure.. i think my parents used windex as well on their leather couches but they were grey wrinkly ones too. (may do a test spot on the back or bottom?)

Love your new floor cushion Norman! You make an excellent couch model!

I use leather cleaning products which Woman should be able to buy just about anywhere.
I told have a problem with my leather sofas...cause I bought two. One for us and one for George and Gracie! Goodboy Norman Featherstone...you just need to tell Woman and Ian to get you your very own couch!

Wow Goodboy, this here is Howie, your good pal. Tell your maw that's not a stain, it's your signature! We gots the same couch only in brown. I enjoy peeing on it alot. Dad has bought "leather wipes" fur the couch. I like how they smell. They make me want to pee on the couch even more. I hope you found all that very helpful.

We have had a leather sofa in our den for about 6 years now. We got the sofa right after we got Chloe. Everyone said we were crazy but, knock on wood, we have no stains! Some people in the house have spilled things on it and no trouble. When we got the sofa it came with leather conditioner and cleaner. We do however have one small scratch from Chloe's puppy days! I LOVE the color of yours! Only bad thing about leather is how slippery it is with blankets!

We also use Windex on our red leather chairs. It works really well, but when that fails we use vinegar and water.

Very nice couch. Very pretty! I like the grey walls, too! And the plant is very pretty. I need more house plants!

The couch is beautiful but, Norman, do your toenails leave marks? I would love a leather chair for Eli and his Dad to sit in but I'm afraid of toenail scratches! I guess they are stuck in the Goodwill chair that I don't care if they destroy!

That is a beautiful sofa. Mom knows they sell leather cleaning kits, try a furniture store, Wal-Mart or maybe a Home Depot.
